We have already created over 100 data integration systems with Clients from various industries and countries. We integrate both clients and carriers, telematics systems, telematics system integrators, platforms for order transmission and invoicing. Below we describe one of such processes.
Challenge
At the end of 2022, SKAT faced a challenge. One of the key clients requested the implementation of system integration that would enable the automation of data exchange and significantly improve cooperation.
Response
SKAT is not afraid of challenges. The company's project teams (the Information Systems Design Department and the Project and Process Coordination Department) immediately got to work, closely collaborating with representatives of the client's IT department. As a result of a series of short but intensive meetings, it was possible to develop common assumptions and define the scope of integration.
Solution
A number of changes have been implemented that automate key data exchange processes. The client gained the ability to transfer orders electronically immediately after inputting them into their system, which in turn allowed for the automatic addition of them to the SKAT database and elimination of manual data entry. Additionally, the client started receiving invoices in a structured format, which are imported into their system and properly linked to the orders.
Benefits
The integration of systems has brought a number of tangible benefits for both parties. SKAT noted a significant improvement in the efficiency of freight forwarders and the accounting department. The risk of errors and inaccuracies has been reduced, and the automation has eliminated the need to duplicate work on the client's side. The client receives precise and up-to-date information on a regular basis, which streamlines decision-making and optimizes business processes.
