Today, environmental concerns and corporate social responsibility are becoming increasingly important. Companies need to make conscious decisions to bring about positive change. A distinction that confirms our commitment to these values is the silver medal awarded to us by EcoVadis – the world’s largest and most trusted provider of sustainable business ratings.

What is EcoVadis?

EcoVadis is the world’s leading sustainability rating provider that enables organisations to analyse, monitor and improve their sustainability practices. The EcoVadis award is based on an assessment system that evaluates CSR performance according to leading standards such as the UN Global Compact Network, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions, the ISO 26000 standard, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the CERES Action Plan and is overseen by an international committee. This comprehensive EcoVadis approach allows companies to assess how effectively they manage their social responsibility practices and whether they are up to date with global initiatives and standards.

Silver medal

The SKAT Group’s receipt of the EcoVadis silver medal is a great honour and confirmation of our efforts towards sustainability. It is not only proof of our achievements to date, but also motivation to further develop initiatives related to ESG strategy. We are proud that our activities have been recognised by EcoVadis.

The road to a sustainable future

Advancing towards a sustainable, environmentally neutral business requires ongoing commitment and innovation. Our efforts in this direction include:

Reducing emissions: We invest in technologies and processes to reduce our emissions of carbon dioxide and other harmful substances. We are taking a range of measures to reduce them. We are introducing modern, more fuel-efficient vehicles while prioritising the optimisation of transport routes and the use of telematics technologies. Our employees use hybrid company vehicles and some customers choose green deliveries for their products, contributing to an almost 80% reduction in CO2 on their flows.

Social responsibility: we create a positive workplace culture for our employees. We implement friendly working conditions and pay policies, promote initiatives to ensure equal opportunities in employment, and follow strict health and safety protocols. In addition, we adhere to the highest ethical standards, including data privacy. At the same time, we do not forget the local communities, which also become beneficiaries of our activities in the form of participation in numerous social actions.

Challenges

We are proud of our achievements to date, but there are still many challenges ahead. Climate change, social responsibility and sustainability are issues that require constant monitoring and adaptation of our actions.
Receiving the silver medal from EcoVadis and being among the 15% of companies with such a distinction is not only proof of our efforts to date, but also a commitment to continue our mission as a responsible participant in the global economy.
