After twenty-four successful editions and nearly 200 graduates, the award-winning training project SKATway returns in a completely new format under the name New SKATway. This exceptional programme, recognised during the HR Day Gala of Grupa Pracuj in the category of "Talent Development in Organisations", remains a comprehensive solution for graduates of logistics studies wishing to start a career in the TSL industry.
New Programme Format
New SKATway is a completely redesigned training process, primarily focusing on the practical skills necessary for a forwarding agent's work. What distinguishes the programme? From day one after onboarding and training in systems, participants begin regular work as forwarding assistants, receiving a position in the international or domestic forwarding department and access to a series of training sessions that will help them systematise and consolidate good practices in the work of a forwarding agent.
Key Elements of New SKATway
The New SKATway programme introduces several significant changes:
Practical experience from the very beginning – participants begin working as forwarding assistants immediately after initial training, allowing them to quickly acquire practical skills.
Faster path to independence – the new structure of the programme has been designed to enable participants to carry out forwarding tasks independently as quickly as possible.
Specialist lectures – participants take part in dedicated lectures that systematise their knowledge and reinforce best industry practices.
Mentor support – particularly valuable roles are played by forwarding leaders who serve as mentors, offering their experience and support to participants.
What Makes New SKATway Stand Out?
24 editions and nearly 200 graduates are a success for our entire organisation. The programme engages many departments of SKAT and over 10 experienced speakers, ensuring the comprehensiveness of the knowledge conveyed. The profession of forwarding agent is quite demanding; during SKATway, we aim to strengthen qualities such as speed in decision-making, teamwork, and finding solutions in challenging industry situations, which quickly pays off in subsequent work.
Who Are We Looking For?
Ideal candidates for the programme are individuals demonstrating a desire to develop in the TSL industry, with an emphasis on road forwarding, fluent in at least one foreign language (English, German, or Scandinavian languages), able to quickly absorb knowledge and self-educate. Strong organisational skills, ability to work under pressure, effective collaboration in a team, and determination in pursuing goals are also important.
Systematic Development
According to SKAT's Future Strategy, the SKATway programme will be systematically implemented – the next edition will begin in July 2025. This is not just a continuation of a tried and tested programme but also a response to the current challenges of the transport market, with a greater focus on the practical aspects of a forwarding agent's work, the digitisation of forwarding processes, and sustainable transport. We are winning on many fronts, primarily as an employer that prioritises organisational culture.
